I´m having a rough time with visual c# 2008 express, i installed it for school about 2 weeks ago, at first i had some troubles installing it, it kept crashing when installing the framework 3.5, after a few times it worked.
it was fine with no problems at all, until this week when i installed a framework 3.5 sp1 update. after i rebboted it, windows started to fail, many dialog windows appeared saying something about a host procces being shut down, and then i couldnt do anything and eventually my pc just rebooted. so i installed other hotfixes from windows update and everything calmed down.

then i started to notice that:
1) while i was running a game and i had my windows wireless receiver plugged in, and then after running the game i activated the 360 wireless controller, there would be a blue screen for about less than a second and then my pc would just reboot.
2) if i´m working on visual c#, i open or create a project and started editing a *.cs file, if i click anywhere inside the class definition it would show me a blue screen and reboot.(however, i CAN debbug, edit preferences etc, the only thing that causes system failure is the text editor)
3) if i try running the visual c# 2008 express edition setup (via downloading it from the microsoft site or using the unninstaller from the control panel) it would automatically show a blue screen of death and then reboot.

these are the 3 ways i´ve found that make my system crash. because i can barely take a look at the blue screen i dont even know whats the failure code.
yesterday i unnistalled the sql server (2005,2007 and 2008) and then just installed the 2008. i dont know exactly why is it that only the xbox controller and visual c# cause this problem.
