I wanted to try out the new windows 7, but since some of my applications didn't work i wanted the recover the original vista home premium. I didn't delete the recovery partition, and it still says 1.75 gb of 10.0 free. The problem is though, when i enter the recovery folder on the partition, it's empty, and when i select properties it says the folders only 4.40 mb.
I also looked for hidden folders, that didn't help.
When i select the boot setup, and f11 for system recovery, it simply goes on booting windows 7.
If there no way to recover from the partition, is the only other way to buy a set of HP recovery discs?
Thanks in advance.
Oh, and before i installed windows 7 i remember the recovery partition contained something windows just called a file.
I also tried using Recuva to see if i accidently deleted the file, but there was no hits, even with deep scan, and i'm 100% sure i didn't secure delete anything.
