Hi I have a new PC with Vista O/S. In XP I am used to installing new windows services through the CMD prompt locating the specific directory the service exe is in and using the xxxx.exe -i syntax to install the service.

I have, after much effort, located my old friend the CMD prompt trough the Globe followed by the smart search field and followed the exact same proceedure but get an error:

Failed to install service : xxxx
Error 0. The operation completed sucessfully.

Clearly nothing was sucessful. I have the feeilng it is a permissions based issue but I have administrator priviledges. Any thoughts please?
