I am having this issue with my Compaq F750us Laptop. I am using Vista, and it states "No Audio output device is installed." I go to device manager, Sound, Video and Game Controllers has suddenly disappeared. Reinstalling the driver did...

I am having this issue with my Compaq F750us Laptop.

I am using Vista, and it states "No Audio output device is installed."

I go to device manager, Sound, Video and Game Controllers has suddenly disappeared.

Reinstalling the driver did nothing to help the problem

Is it possible that the speakers were unplugged somehow? I do carry the laptop around with me.

It seems like my sound is gone forever....
