Hi all! This is my first time posting here. I'm not sure if this thread belongs here. But since it's a Vista update problem, I figure it's best to ask here.
I've been having problems installing the update for .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 and its family update (KB951847) x86. The problem started when I was installing this update with Window Automatic Update. I was playing a game during this update and it froze on me. Naturally I did a hard shutdown by pressing the power button when it didn't respond to any input. When I restart, I see the update screen that subsequently failed. After some googling with the error code, I tried uninstalling .Net Framework from control panel and reinstalling Frameworks 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5. But they also failed to install. And now every time I turn on my computer I get these 3 error messages:
Quote:
EULALauncher.exe configuration parser error
sprtcmd.exe configuration parser error
dsca.exe configuration parser error
and the content of the message are all the same:
Quote:
Error parsing:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v.2.0.5072\conf ig\machine.config
Parser returned error 0xc00ce556
But the programs I use are running with no problem since this is my home computer and I mostly use it for gaming and internet surfing. I have next to no experience with the technical aspect of computers, but I suspect it was caused by some corrupted files when I shutdown during the update. If that's the case, I still don't know how to find out where the problem is and how to fix it. And I really appreciate some help now. Thanks!
For my computer details, it's running a 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premiun SP1
