I have read the previous post on this but it didnt help as i am using vista and there isnt a file type option on vista. (refering to

So basically all my programs exculding computer options and internet etc. are opening in a word document as an .EXE file.
How can i get them back?
Programs affected include itunes, WebCam Companion 2, DivX installer and uninstaller...

PS. I am sorry if this post seems a little dumb but i am new to vista, i used XP in the past whch has the correct options from the post above.
