Hi,
I have a new laptop (running 64 bit Vista Home Premium) that has about 260 GB of free space on C: drive. I'd like to partition the C: to be about 50 GB and have the rest be a large F: drive.
In Disk Management, when I right-click on C: and click Shrink, it tells me I can only shrink it by 131000 MB, which will leave a 163000 MB C: drive. It won't allow me to fill a larger number in for "Enter the amount of space to shrink _____".
Here's what it shows:
Total Size before shrink(MB): 294000
Size of available shrink space(MB): 131000
Enter the amount of space to shrink(MB):
131000
Total size after shrink(MB): 163000
Can someone tell me a safe way to shrink it more than this? Thanks.
