My dell inspiron 1720 fails to load operating system. When I boot I get this "dell media direct express cannot access your hard drive. This may be because you have enabled Microsoft Bitlocker(Drive Encryption). MediaDirect Express is not accessible...

My dell inspiron 1720 fails to load operating system. When I boot I get this "dell media direct express cannot access your hard drive. This may be because you have enabled Microsoft Bitlocker(Drive Encryption). MediaDirect Express is not accessible when Microsoft Bitlocker is enabler"message. I have tried to repair operating system from a Vista DVD, but it will go on Startup Repair window then it will search forever. I let it searching for the entire night, but it would not finish. I also tried to run chkdsk /r, fdisk /mbr to repair the boot sector. I then booted up and it bring the Microsoft windows vista window and would not go beyond that. could someone please help. I don't want to format the HDD.
