My computer (Dell) came from the factory with NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE installed in the chipset. I later acquired an ATI Radeon x1300 card which I installed after first having deleted the NVIDIA in the control panel > programs.
Since then I have to start my machine twice every time in order to make it find the monitor. I have tried to re-install NVIDIA from the device manager, but get error code 43. The VGA connection does not work now and is not displayed in the Device manager.
Question: if I un-install the ATI driver, will the screen go black? If it does, will the VGA (which I can't find) take over and the screen light up again, when I plug the monitor into the VGA connection?
If I can just be shure to have a screen, I can work at re-installing the factory driver.
