OK few related issues with my messed-up laptop
1. Programs such as windows live messenger, imvu and DivX player are opening in DOS mode as .EXE files in word and i dont know how to change them back on Vista
2. Programs like WebCam companion 2 used to open like the list above but now wont open and says go to the Set Associations panel to fix, which i visited and couldnt see anything wrong (maybe thats just me)
3. There are some programs like DivX and Itunes that dont open normally like the other 2 options above but i can access by playing a movie or song that runs on these programs but still all the shortcuts dont work.
I am pretty new to vista so sorry if this question seems stupid.
If you want to know more about my system and settings just ask.
Please reply soon as i am tired of not being able to do much on my laptop.
PS i realise there are theads on this for XP and a few for Vista but none of them involve these exact issues.
