Hi guys, hope you're all well - I'm new to posting on TSG but I've come across it several times and found some great solutions.
My issue is this: I have a website hosted by 1and1.co.uk - I've used the newsletter tool on the console to occasionally keep our contacts up to date with things. I've placed a link to sign up to the newletter on the site which takes the user to an auto generated form, produced by the newsletter tool from the 1and1 console.
Over the last couple of months I've noticed a number of failed deliveries coming through on our 'info@' address.
Today I logged in to the console to look at the addresses that had signed up and noticed several similar addresses that look like they've been generated by some kind of bot or crawler program. Many of them contain typical spam language - shall we say, the kind of vocabularly used to describe the male desire for the female form. I'm sure you can use your imagination to picture some of the words!
Is there any danger my info@ address is being or has been used to forward spam in any way? Also, what can I do to prevent this happening? I'm pretty thick skinned when it comes to bad language, but the site does represent our business and I'd hate for any of our customers to recieve any kind of unwanted mail due to a slip up on our part.
Thanks very much for reading through my problem - any help or even a point in the right direction is much appreciated!
Thanks!
