Need help with MS Word: A button/function that used to show on the formatting toolbar is suddenly missing from the toolbar and from the list of formatting commands under "customize" that one can add to the toobar. The button/function is for "shading...

Need help with MS Word: A button/function that used to show on the formatting toolbar is suddenly missing from the toolbar and from the list of formatting commands under "customize" that one can add to the toobar. The button/function is for "shading (color)." How can I get it back? I am using Word 2000 (9.0.6926 SP3) and Windows XP.
