hi everyone at tgs, it's been a while... like 3 weeks

. anyways i ran into some problems while working, and this one seems rather simple but hard to find solutions online. anyways here i go.
to unify the years on my report for excel i wrote a formula for the years function so that it can change automatically, and then the years on each graph in the whole workbook would draw from that 1 formula rather than just 2008, 2009, 2010...ect. everything works out fine except when i realized i need to add a * or ** after some of the years to make footnotes. i can't make any changes to the original formula because i don't want any of the other graphs to draw the "*".
so, my question is, how do i add a sign such as * after a formula such as "=Sheet1!D13", so that in the box of "=Sheet1!D13" which would've originally show lets say "2008" to show "2008*".
