Vacation homes are just the thing one needs to unwind after months of working hard. Although before actually reaching there, work needs to be done, namely, the major work of packing. So here is a list of 10 things you must carry to a vacation home.
Bags and labels should be on the top of your list. Make sure you pack an extra bag inside your suitcase which you can use later on as a hand luggage or a shopping bag. Stick addresses labels both in the inside and outside of your luggage. Carry extra labels.
Clothes and shoes are next. Pack appropriate clothes. Light cotton ones if you are going on a summer vacation and waterproofs if it is going to rain a lot. Wear your most comfortable pair of shoes for the journey and pack an extra pair to wear during the vacation.
Your personal toiletries. There is nothing to make you feel more at home in your vacation home like seeing your familiar toothbrush in the bathroom.
Medicines- Pack a small first aid kit with all essential medicines. Pack your charger, a universal plug and adaptor. Buy books and maps about the place you are going to visit. Do not forget your passport. Also have a photocopy of it in a safe place. Take your mobile along just in case you get stranded in a God forsaken place.
Take insurance if you are planning on hiring a car. Finally take good locks with you to be safe and not sorry.
