This must be one of the stupidest mistakes ever,
I just finished setting up my Bios, with the door open so i could see any LED errors. After the setup I saved and reset;
During boot I plugged in the fans on the door, while the system was running.
Needless to say, I'm getting an LED error that indicates a damaged or incorrectly installed CPU. Since I just set up my Bios, I thought Id share this with all of you. Since I have removed the door and unplugged the fans.
Have I just fried my CPU or motherboard?
Im kind of in shock despite the mistake being such an obvious "no, no."
Taking it all down to check for melted plastic.
