So recently I've been having problems with my PC overheating and shutting down and I have traced the issue down to my heat sink being clogged with dust. I'm thinking of opening my PC and giving everything a clean and removing any dust that is present but I have never done this before and I'm apprehensive of doing so in case I break something.
Could anyone give me some tips on how to clean a CPU Heat sink without damaging anything? I sort of know the basics of the insides of a computer and have added/replaced heat sinks to old, crappy computers in the past but never have done so on my own system and I'm not to keen on breaking a £1000 piece of hardware.
Any tips would be great.
