I've hit a problem with this device on Windows XP SP2. The device is detected in Device Manager as a "Generic Void Disk USB Device". Windows installs a driver, "5.1.2535.0", but the device does not show under "My Computer". Therefore I cannot format...

I've hit a problem with this device on Windows XP SP2. The device is detected in Device Manager as a "Generic Void Disk USB Device". Windows installs a driver, "5.1.2535.0", but the device does not show under "My Computer". Therefore I cannot format it if it has not got a drive letter. The device comes only with a driver for Windows 98, but claims to be Windows XP compatible. I cannot find a driver on the manufacturer's website. The product is no longer listed on their available closures, so I presume this is just scrap unless I can get Windows to recognise it properly. Any suggestions?
