It seems that my external drive is seen by burning programs, but the burning programs are not seeing it's "speeds". It used to work..(say about 2 weeks ago,) and I have tried simply restarting my computer to 'see the drive'. It sees it, but it won't list speeds anymore. I believe the firmware is up to date. Model sony drx-710ul
Any ideas before I stick it in the trash? At the moment all it is good for is reading Dvds. I am using the usb connection for it.
