I've got three laptops (2 XP and 1 Vista) and a laptop server (XP) that is hosting a network drive and an HP F4240 Deskjet All-In-One. I was able to map network drives to the laptop server with no problems. When I try to connect any of the laptops to the printer that is being hosted by the same laptop server I get the following messages:
Vista: The operation could not be completed (error 0x00000709). Make sure you have typed the name correctly, and that the printer is connected to the network.
XP: Operation could not be completed. Either the printer names was typed incorrectly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server. For more information, click help.
The firewall is set to allow file and print sharing on all computers.
I've tried installing the printer drivers on the laptops and no luck. I've also verified that all my computers are in the same workgroup. I'm beating my head against the wall because I'm sure that it's something very small that I am over looking.
Does anyone have any ideas?
