Here's my most recent challenge I'm facing:

At work I want to wall mount four large TFTs throughout various parts of the building that will show a number of powerpoint shows on a rotation/ loop throughout the day (corporate information etc etc).

Ideally, I don't want to have four PCs, rather one PC that splits the monitor signal over four monitors using the network. The largest distance is 250m, and I know you can use certain products to do this using CAT5 cable. Problem is, I'd rather not have to use dedicated cabling! Isn't there a solution that would allow me to send this stuff over our existing LAN?

There are "Digital Signage" solutions out there but the vendors will charge loads and their solution is way more sophisticated than I need.

Any ideas? How would you guys go about this?
