Hi,
I hope this is not rehashing something that has already been answered but I can't seem to find anything that is exactly what is happening to me. The home desktop is XP Pro SP3. Remote laptop (same house) is also XP Pro SP3. Remote desktop (work) Vista Business SP1. Never had any issues with remote destop in the past other than the dynamic IP address changing. Awhile back I started having issues connecting to the home desktop from both remote computers. As soon as I reboot the home desktop then I can remote in with no problems. If I logoff I can usually log back in if it is in a relatively short time period. If I logoff today and try and log back in tomorrow I will get a message "This computer can't connect to the remote computer, contact the owner of the computer (me) or the netwrok administrator. I have seen some threads that talk about hotfixes but everything relates to Windows Server 2003. Did I install some hotfix or something in SP3 that is causing this and if so is there a fix? Help!!
