I have Logmein and both my house and theirs has dsl, although it's pokey. Is there a better suggestion for setting up access? There are two of us that access the accounting. As it is now, mine hosts the peachtree data. I am the one who gets into it most, but the other lady also does quite a bit. She's not in and out of 2 companies at once usually, tho, so I'd like to keep the data in my location. I am always bringing up a company on the desktop and on the laptop since our little llc's are interrelated.
She could get by with using Logmein to connect to my machine to do what she needed to do, but I think it would confuse her. If there's an alternative, I'd like to find it. For me to try to run 2 Logmein connections from my end to her house would be a pain in the @#!!. Although I'd do it to avoid putting up with the smoke and 24/7 CNN.
We currently have Ptree 2007 Premium for Construction and a Windows XP peer-to-peer lan with wireless access and a network storage drive. Peachtree has to reside on a pc with a mappable hard drive and keyboard, etc. The application is installed on each computer and the data is accessed via a mapped drive. Thus my problem of trying to have a distance location.
Thanks for any suggestions.
