I've got a MSI P965 Neo, which current has 1GB (DDR2 533MHz PC2-4200).

My manual specifies that the board supports a maximum of 8GB.
And has 4 DIMMs DDR2 (240pin). It also supports DDR2 800/667/533 SDRAM.
However 1GB DDR2 800 SDRAM memory module is not supported.

My question is; what exactly is the difference between the different MHz?
Is it better use higher MHz RAM?

If so, would the board support 2 different types of Mhz?
