Right I need to get this issue resolved. It started about half a year ago on Vista. I cannot access some pages filled with imags. The image are shown partly but then stop downloading and my network changes to 'Limited connectivity'.
A great example of such page can be found
here and
here (warning the page contains images of spiders for those who have arachnophobia).
Now sometimes the connection restores itself, but usually it doesn't. I then have to go through the troubleshooting getting new IP-address from my router or resetting the network adapter. The troubleshooter manages to fix my connection 50% of the time, if it doesn't work I just have to wait it out until it starts working again. Unless I go upstairs and reset the router which is an even greater hassle.
When said problem occurs my Network and Sharing center shows an 'Unidentified Network', no connection, 'Unidentified Network' again, etc. Very annoying when I'm randomly browsing, stumble upon a page with huge images and my connections drops away for 10 minutes.
This ALSO occurs when downloading a heap of Windows Updates or when downloading content on Valve Steam.
I thought it would go away with a fresh install but it doesn't. It occurs both on Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Turning IPv6 off doesn't work either. I've also tried using static IP settings through my router and it didn't solve the problem.
Router: Netgear WGR614v6 latest firmware
Windows Vista / Windows 7 fully updated
It should also be noted that I'm using two Sitecom LN-501 Powerlan adapters. I tried a Wireless USB solution but the range of my Netgear router is too poor (even though it's only one story higher).
