Alright, so yesterday I managed to connect my PC with my sister's laptop via LAN with no problems whatsoever, everything went smoothly except one thing: The connection won't work using the TCP/IP protocol. We're using IPX instead. Now, this isn't entirely a bad thing, using IPX that is. Hell, I even PREFER using IPX most of the time, since it's much faster for sending/receiving data. BUT, it makes it impossible to share the internet connection of my PC to her laptop, which was the primary objective of this whole project.
Now, the only possible cause I can think of is that, since my dad is a paranoic beyond human conception, he somehow disabled the laptop's wireless connection through the computer's BIOS. If this is the cause, can you tell me how to re-enable it? If not, do you know if there's anything else I can try? She's using a HP-530 laptop computer. Any hint, any piece of advice would really be appreciated. I'm kinda stuck here.
