My circa 2003 computer has the 80 Gb HDD split into C & D drives, both are supposed to be 40Gb in size.
Using My Computer and pointing the mouse at the drives I get;
C: - Free Space 8.96 Gb, Total Space 39.0 Gb (Therefore about 30 Gb used)
D:- Free Space 8.96 Gb, Total Space 35.4 Gb (Therefore about 26 Gb used)
I thought this seemed excessive for me, so I went into each drive to find out what's supposedly making up these totals.
Adding up each file individually I get;
C: - 13.5 Gb (Not 30 as indicated)
D: - 19 Gb (Not 26 as indicated)
Can anyone advise why I'm getting false numbers?
I have Rollback RX software installed which previously caused false numbers, but after defragging it's snapshots the numbers corrected.
After defragging the Rollback snapshots at present I still get these numbers.
Could Rollback RX somehow be causing the issue?
Also, why would both drives have exactly the same amount of Free Space - 8.96 Gb?
Any advice welcome.
I'm running Windows XP Home SP3.
