Greetings, all. I just bought a Fantom 1TB USB/eSATA dual-interface external hard drive, and I'm having some trouble connecting it to the built-in eSATA ports on my ASUS P5K-Deluxe/Wifi, which has a JMB36x RAID/eSATA controller. The JMB36x recognizes and hot-swaps a WD My Book fine, but it will not recognize the Fantom, even if I turn on the computer with the drive attached (instead of hot-swapping).
I know that the Fantom's eSATA works because plugging it into an internal SATA port allows the eSATA connection to work. I've installed the latest XP drivers for the controller. Any suggestions on how I can get the JMB36x to recognize the drive? I was thinking about perhaps a firmware upgrade, but I can't seem to find newer firmware for it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
