ok things to know: i use vista, but iv had this problem on a xp as well.
For now im focusing on the vista system. i have a D-Link DIR-615 router, the computer i am having problems on is the one with the usb adapter.
NOW the problem: when i go to shut down my computer, it logs me off should the shutting down sign and all that jaz, then the little circle that shows the computer is still working stops and it looks like the computer has frozen, it takes anywhere from 30 seconds for 1 min for the monitor to shut down and the power button to start blinking. however the computer itself does NOT shut down, it can take up to 5 min to finally shut down or even longer. the newist adition to this problem is my most recent time of shutting down the computer i got a kernal system error and had to manually shut it down.
i do not beleave it is firmware, i have the latest vista one thats out.
I have been searching the web for answers and have found few. so im asking for help, even a little bit would be apriciated.
