I recently got Norton ghost 14.0 and decided to use the option where i copy my exact harddrive that i currently use, to one of my older blank harddrives that had failed me once before. I formatted it, and began the process, i went out for a bit and came back, it was stuck saying 29 mins left. and an error message saying

-Error EC8F17B3: Cannot complete copying of (C:\) drive.
--Cannot copy source drive to destination location.
---Error E7C30010: Device \\?\Volume{e3a773e0-8a4d-11dd-96f0-806d6172696f}\ cannot write 4096 sectors starting at LBA 103578640.
----Error EBAB03F1: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

Whats up with that? The drive was basically corrupted so i stopped using it and got a new one. i figured a good formatting was all it needed. No sense in tossing a perfectly good seagate 320 gb. lol

P.S when i get this error, the drive dissapears from my computer. But it shows up in device manager
