I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 notebook with Vista Home Premium. My CD/DVD drive stopped working. It does not show up in the Device Manager at all and I cannot find a registry entry for it. As suggested on other sites, I tried to locate UpperFilters...

I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 notebook with Vista Home Premium. My CD/DVD drive stopped working. It does not show up in the Device Manager at all and I cannot find a registry entry for it. As suggested on other sites, I tried to locate UpperFilters and/or LowerFilters keys but, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
is empty. How can I fix this?
