About a month ago, my wifi card stopped detecting wireless networks. at the time everything appeared to be mostly functioning.. all it was is it said no wireless networks were in range, when there clearly were and it would usually work perfect. i thought maybe the card was loose, and it looked like it was a little, so i reinserted it...
from then, after a reboot, the drivers were no longer installed and still arent, and on every boot i'd get the hardware wizard. everytime i try to install the drivers, during the end of the installation ill get a blue screen with error BAD_POOL_CALLER
though googling would suggest its a faulty driver i should update, its the same driver i've always used, and it would occur not only when i allow it to automatically find the driver, but when i locate the specific driver from the installation cd, as well as when i use the installation program off the cd.
while its installing, when i was the device manager, the devices start to install, i'll see the unknown network controller disappear, and the D-Link Rangebooster N device appear with a little conflict exclamation mark, and then two new devices about D-Link packet schedulers or something.. and then i'll get the error
without trying to install the driver, my computer works perfectly fine, and ethernet works
my operating system is Windows XP Pro
my device is D-Link Rangebooster N
the driver is ar5416.sys and it errors while installing this
the error is BAD_POOL_CALLER
stop error is 0x000000C2
parameters are 0x00000040 0x00000000 0x80000000 0x00000000
any ideas would be awesome im really frustrated without internet here
