after logging into windows xp sp2 my screen goes all fuzzy and i can bearly make out the background and icons...this happens 1-2 seconds after login. i can boot into safemode, no issues, caps/scroll/num lock do not function when the screen goes...
after logging into windows xp sp2 my screen goes all fuzzy and i can bearly make out the background and icons...this happens 1-2 seconds after login. i can boot into safemode, no issues, caps/scroll/num lock do not function when the screen goes fuzzy. in event viewer i got aservice control manager error and this was what was listed as the description:

Fips
intelppm
...and i was told, AsIO is to do with Realtek audio, and intelppm is something to do with the processor driver.
can anyone tell me what Fips is or even better, how i get my computer to work without going into safe mode, as far as im concerned i can boot into my ubuntu 8.xx fine...
