I am running windows XP (2003) service pack 2 on a Dell Inspirion B110. It has a Nvidia Geeforce 6100 video card, 2 80 Gig Harddrives and 1.5 Gigs RAM. Everything was working fine and the other day when I booted it up it took 3 HOURS to boot up and the processor is consistently running at 100%. I took the harddrive out and put it in my sons Presario and everything worked fine! Just to be sure there was no virus, I formatted the harddrive and reinstalled the same OS as before (I have a copy of XP service pack 2 I bought several years ago). Everything worked fine in my sons Presario, but when I put the harddrive back into my Dell I had the same problem. The only thing I can figure is that maybe my processor is going bad. I am just guessing there, as I have no experience dealing with this sort of thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
