I'm having a few, ongoing, issues with my transmission.
I've rebuilt the transmission and replaced all the rings, bearings seals and pump with OEM Toyota parts approx 10,000km ago now. Toyota did a fluid change approx 3000km ago. So all should be in good nick but i'm having great difficulty selecting just about every gear.
I dont get griding (often) but the gears just wont slot in where they should. It's my understanding that this is probably a function of the baulk, or blocking rings.
Does anyone have any suggestions or does anyone know of a site with a really good and graphically detailed explanation of how the synchro/baulk mechanism works?? (i need pictures cause the big words don't go in my head real good)
