(I use Windows XP) After having saved an image onto my harddrive my laptop automatically resizes shrinking my images without anything done on my part. This is highly frustrating, especially for wallpapers that no longer fit my screen. Please help me...

(I use Windows XP) After having saved an image onto my harddrive my laptop automatically resizes shrinking my images without anything done on my part. This is highly frustrating, especially for wallpapers that no longer fit my screen. Please help me fix this problem! I would be so grateful.
