I want to sell this computer, or give it away without giving away anything I ever saved to it...I want it to be fresh and clean...and empty of all personal documents/files/settings/etc.
I have the XP reinstallation disk, will reinstalling XP do what I need here?
(if yes, please note that disk is sp1, and the computer is updated to sp2, and so the disk, in it's intial stages, warns that the disk contains an older version of xp....if I am right in my hypothesis, thats no big deal, right, the new owner can download sp2 from the web, yeah? )
The end result is I don't really care what is finally loaded on the computer, I just want all of any memory of me to be out of it. If i can give it to someone and tell them it runs and its xp I'll be happy.
