I decided to protect my home computer (OS Windows XP) with a password. I am certain I remember the password, which I had to enter twice during its setup.
Upon rebooting, a few seconds later, I enter the password, click on the green arrow, OR hit enter, and the password dots just erase. All I get is an error message asking me if I've forgotten my password. And I'm stuck there. But I'm certain I'm entering the correct password in the correct case.
What's the solution?
Some more background, before I decided to enter this password, my computer had been acting up for a while, prompting me to hit F1 during boot up.
Could there be any link with my password issue?
