In the "good old days" of DOS, there was EDIT.EXE, the DOS equivalent to Notepad. At any point in using EDIT, there was an X/Y-type axis identification in its status bar that told you what line number and which column number the cursor was...

In the "good old days" of DOS, there was EDIT.EXE, the DOS equivalent to Notepad. At any point in using EDIT, there was an X/Y-type axis identification in its status bar that told you what line number and which column number the cursor was positioned.

I miss that. Is there a Windows Notepad-like, ascii-text-only program that will do that?
