i have a HP Compaq 8710w that i bought through my university which was specially loaded with XP. Lately it has been crapping out on me and the final straw was that it would boot, be able to get into windows, then freeze about 30 seconds into windows.
Tried system restore, last known good configuration and the ****ty HP recovery. nothing works.
tried doing a repair, gets to 28-27 minutes left and "completing installation" and just locks. little green boxes move and the screens still transition.
