Hi,
I have a problem with XP. I tried doing a windows repair install, which progressed well until I got a message about the location of 'ASMS' file "The file 'asms' on Windows XP Pro"

. I am being prompted for the location of these files. I noted that in another thread, possibly another forum (Sorry) that if you edit the registry you it should then complete the install.
However I cannot use the keyboard or mouse, no rsponse at all, but the keyboard does as the PC boots up (I can f12 for boot menu).

So I am stuck.

I have the hard drive out of the PC in another at the moment, so could edit it direct, but not sure how.

Any ideas?
