I have an Optiplex SX280 running A09 BIOS. This computer uses a USB mouse and keyboard. I had to reload XP Pro. When I loaded SP2, the key board and mouse when dead. I then reloaded the XP and as long as I run w/o SP2, the system works fine. I tried to load SP3, but I can't w/o SP1. When I lose the keyboard and mouse, I have to go back and reload XP again and again.
The device manager shows question marks beside the micro system management BIOS driver and the enhanced host controller 265C. But I can't see the status after I lose the mouse and Keyboard. I believe they call this a catch 22.
