I finally updated my PC running Windows XP (which is 6 years old) SP3 yesterday, however, I now find myself unable to get onto the internet to search. For example, when I click on my Google icon, the screen sometimes flashes for a millisecond as if the PC is trying to bring up the internet, and then it quickly goes away. When I try to log into MSN to get onto the internet, it gives me a message telling me that it can't log me in. If I click on a link, nothing happens. The weird thing is that if I log into MSN Instant Messenger, it will show me other people that are online, or if I try to update my antivirus program, it will bring me updates. How can I get it to let me get onto the internet again?
