Would anyone know of a reason why sometimes when I open the My Computer folder, it is very small. It is not minimized, but it is as if you grabbed the bottom right corner of the window and reduced it to the smallest window possible but still have it on your desktop.
When it happens, i drag it back to full size and i can open the folder for a while at normal size but at some point, it reduces itself again. It has also happened with the My Documents folder but I did not notice it as much since I rarely directly use that folder.
This has been going on for several months now. Its been managable for that time so it was no big deal but a second issue has come up and I am not sure if it is related.
One two separate days, I have gone to open Internet Explorer (and it has happened also with My Computer folder) and it opens but not on my monitors. It exists in the task bar and if you minimize it, you see the ghostly view of it minimizing but if you maximize it or try to click on it it jumps back up towards the top left of my primary monitor as if i had a third monitor to the left of my primary monitor however, my mouse pointer does not leave the primary monitor area.
If i reduce my screen resolution to 800 X 600, I was able to retrieve the internet explorer window once but not my My Computer folder. If i reboot, everything is back to normal.
My system is a Windows XP Pro with SP3. I have 2GB RAM. My video card is an ATI FireGL V5200. I do seem to have a winvnc video hook driver as a display adapter also.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
