I have a Dell XPS 400 with Windows XP MCE. This computer has been used quite a bit for a few years and is now slow. I have deleted all the programs that are unnecesary, but it is still slow. I have run CCleaner (including the registry) and defragged, and nothing. It just doesn't run well anymore.
I have the reinstallation disk for XP MCE. If I buy a new hard drive, will I be able to reinstall without Microsoft giving me a fit? Its the same hardware (cept just added some more ram), but I would like to reinstall on a new hard drive while still being able to keep the data on the current one.
Is this possible?
Thanks.
