hey all...

i have an older E-machine (WXP) that had a ASUS P5L-MX motherboard installed in it last year. recently i decided to upgrade my ram from 1 G (2 512's, DDR2-667 pc5300) to 4 G ( PC-2 667Mhz DDR2 PC 5300, which the specs say it will support. however, the computer will not boot up at all with the new ram - no beep, nothing. i know (now) that the WXPpc might not recognize the full 4 G of ram, but it still should boot up, no?

any tips as to what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated!
