Tried to load Norton Ghost today. About three quarters through a message came up stating that the installation had been interrupted; it than closed. Never could get Norton to work. When I attempted to reinstall; I got the dreaded message that "The Windows Installer Service could not be Accessed" Did a search on Google . Tried John Barnett's procedure to reinstall the Windows Installer. Didn't work. Have the same problem. One other problem that popped up as a result of this and is of great concern to me is that my Virus program "Trend Micro" quite working at the same time. Problem now is that I can't uninstall or re-install until I get the Windows Installer to work. Sitting here with no virus protection. Not happy!!
Any suggestions?
