I did an internet search for this problem and found the following post. I also did the very same things and this is driving me crazy. It took me more than 2 hours to finally get the computer up and running to here. I'm afraid to turn it off for fear I can't get back on. I really need someone to help me.

Ok... I never got a logon before, then I did the windows updates .NET framework 1.1. I started getting the fast user switch and stuff so I tried a few things like going to CP and user accounts and uncheck 2 things. Well like an idiot I also did this... http://www.theeldergeek.com/unattended_logon.htm . Now I get a logon and when I do what the guide says, when I start up I still get the logon and it says the password is incorrect (which it isn't). I don't have a clue what to do now. Can someone please help me out? Also, my shut down window is different now. Has a drop down box instead of the 3 colored buttons. Also there is a little window that flashes on logon and shutdown(can't read what it says, it goes by to fast), looks like it says my account name. Is the reason for this stuff because of .NET framework Can I uninstall the .NET framework stuff or is it THAT important? Please help!
