I seem to be having an issue upgrading to SP2. I have recently aquired this project PC from a freind to bring it back from the dead. I try to access microsoft.com, or any related microsoft product, and it doesnt allow me to see those...

I seem to be having an issue upgrading to SP2.

I have recently aquired this project PC from a freind to bring it back from the dead.

I try to access microsoft.com, or any related microsoft product, and it doesnt allow me to see those pages, page cannot be displayed.

i then used my good PC and the network to pull over the SP2 upgrade file from microsoft.

it unpacks a bunch of files and then quits.

i beleive the upgrade to SP2 and microsoft.com are related.

I ran Trojanhunter and a bunch of other spyware/malware programs, picked up a few items. I rid all the bad files.

still nothing.

i tried clearing the temp files and running CCleaner, still nothing.

i see there are more than just a few people that have the same issue on other forums, but they always get closed before it goes anywhere.

any help? lets see if we can knock this issue down so the world knows wats up.
