i have an IBM thinkpad with windows XP. it was working fine until i turned it on yesterday when it said "windows did not start succesfully. A recent hardware or software change might have cuased this.
It says some more stuff and then gives me 5 options.
safe mode
safe mode with networking
safe mode with comandprompt
last known configuration
and start windows normaly.
Which ever one i click, it does the normal xp load up screen with the downlaod bar and then it says... unamountable_boot_volume. A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damge to your compluter.!
at the moment i cant even get on to my computer and it has all of my gcse coursework. any advisce would be greatly welcome.
Some poeple have said get a new harddisk, but i dont want ot lose all of my work and then find it was some little thinf that could have been changed.
