In advance thank you for any help and assistance and pls. forgive my ignorance

I have a trouble here... when I tried to make a search in the forums I got this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/helponthe.net/forums/search.php on line 1012

I tried again and I get Internet explorer cannot display webpage !!

I was lucky to be able to post this new Thread

any ideas what going on in my computer or why does it taking to much time to load pages and sometimes give that error that cannot display webpage.
